We are entering the home stretch and there are only four days left until Election Day. For the past few weeks, my opponent has been relentless and continues to launch a barrage of negative attacks against me. His vicious attacks on my character, my values, and my unblemished 30-year medical career has been hurtful not only to me but also to my family, friends, and to the patients and their families that I cared for.

Unfortunately, negative campaigning is just another part of politics. There are currently 27 days left until Election Day and the baseless attacks by my opponent and his friends are sure to continue as we take the campaign into November. Monday, October 6th
Last week, I had the honor of receiving a huge endorsement in the race to carry on Bud Cramer's legacy in Washington. The Alabama Farmers Federation (ALFA) endorsed me in my race for Congress and I couldn't be more pleased to have their support. Alabama farmers endorsed both me and my opponent in our primaries, but after taking a look at both of us in the general election, they decided I would be the best candidate for the job.

Wednesday, September 10th
My favorite time of the year has finally arrived. Summer is beginning to cool down, fall is just around the corner, and football season is here at last. I've been going to high school football games all across North Alabama, taking part in one of our greatest southern traditions. It's a great environment for everybody and brings out the spirit of sportsmanship in all of us. Every week, I have had the privilege of meeting more and more people.

Wednesday, July 23rd
Last week, it was disappointing to hear the news of Volkswagen's decision to build their newest U.S. plant in Chattanooga, given that the Tennessee site was chosen over a location in Huntsville. We missed a big one here, but looking back on a week of reflection, a lot of good came out of our efforts. While VW went the other way, we still have great potential to attract valuable industry to the region. Our robotics facility in Decatur at Calhoun College will be a big lure for manufacturers in the automotive and aerospace industries, and other opportunities are just around the corner.
