Tuesday, July 7th I decided to spend the Fourth of July this year with my friends at the Tut Fann State Veterans Nursing Home in Huntsville. The Fourth of July is a great time for our families to pause and remember what has made our country great. We were able to celebrate our independence over the weekend because of the brave men and women who have fought to keep us free. Honoring our current and future veterans is something that we must do not only in our words and not just on a few holidays each year. In Congress, I will work to honor these brave men and women by ensuring that our veterans' health care system is second to none and by pushing for a new GI Bill of Rights that gives our returning veterans real, expanded opportunities and makes good on the promises made to them when they enlisted. Now that the Fouth of July weekend is over, I urge all my friends across North Alabama to keep in your thoughts all of those who have honored us by serving our Armed Forces. We must remember and honor their sacrifices not just this week, but every week of the year. Thank you for your support, ![]() Parker Griffith |
