Last week, I had the honor of receiving a huge endorsement in the race to carry on Bud Cramer's legacy in Washington. The Alabama Farmers Federation (ALFA) endorsed me in my race for Congress and I couldn't be more pleased  to have their support. Alabama farmers endorsed both me and my opponent in our primaries, but after taking a look at both of us in the general election, they decided I would be the best candidate for the job.  

I'm not taking this lightly. In Congress, I will serve as a strong voice that will stand up for our farmers and make sure America continues to have the best food supply in the world. After receiving overwhelming support from farmers in every county of north Alabama, I will make sure to work just as hard for them during the rest of my campaign and after November 4th.
 
Our farmers, like others I meet on the campaign trail, are interested in solutions to our problems and not more political games. They have serious issues that face them such as the high cost of fuel, uncertainty in the credit markets and how to provide health insurance for their families. In the State Senate I worked across the aisle to help on legislation important to our farmers. I promise that I will do the same in Congress on issues important to our farmers and our families. 

I am excited to add this endorsement to a growing list of those from organizations all over the political spectrum. When Alabama's farmers, teachers, firefighters, realtors, and police are behind your campaign, you've got to be doing something right.
